The installation begins with a pilot bore in the position shown in the design. The borehole is kept open using biodegradable drilling fluid. After the pilot bore, the borehole is enlarged using a reamer. An HDPE pipe casing containing the HDDW filter tube is then inserted through the borehole. In the next step, the pipe casing is removed from the borehole and a sand package is simultaneously applied around the DMC filter tube. We then clean the filter tube and install the sensors and pumps.
The position and function is checked using gyro measurements, video inspection and test pumping. Once connected to the control and communication equipment, the DMC is ready for use.
