The results of the survey determine the best path of the filter tube, sensors and pumps, which we incorporate into an initial design.

We then compute this initial design using a specially developed simulation model, looking at such things as the effect of the water extraction on groundwater levels. We also calculate what the initial design means for the stability of the dike. We use the results of the simulation model to further perfect the design.
